Lessons on Work and the World from Fathers
As we enter this Father’s Day weekend, it’s fitting to reflect on all the ways our dads prepared us for the workforce—from teaching us to mow the lawn, to the importance of a nap afterwards. Forbes spoke to a number of entrepreneurs about how their fathers shaped their professional lives. One of our favorites is from Daniel Lubetzky, founder of KIND Healthy Snacks:
“My father survived the Holocaust, emigrated to Mexico, and educated himself by buying used encyclopedias and reading them cover to cover. His experiences taught me the importance of persistence and having a resilient mindset. From an early age, I saw him working hard on his business. Witnessing his work-ethic and optimistic outlook on life inspired me to become an entrepreneur and try to improve our world through business.”
