Vice President of Enrollment Management

Lourdes University is seeking accomplished and strategic candidates for the Vice President of Enrollment Management position. Reporting to the President, the Vice President of Enrollment Management provides leadership in planning, developing, executing and assessing the enrollment management plan for the University. Enrollment Management oversees undergraduate, graduate and CBE admission; retention; and financial aid.

 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Leads the development, implementation and ongoing evaluation of an aggressive and comprehensive strategic enrollment management plan designed to attract, admit and retain successful Lourdes University students.  Plan includes enrollment goals and strategies to achieve them.

  • Maintains and inspires a motivated team of individuals in the offices of Admissions, Financial Aid and Retention.  Responsible for hiring, training, performance review and supporting professional development of staff.

  • Inspires a university wide commitment to meeting enrollment goals. Works collaboratively campus-wide with faculty, coaches, and staff to achieve enrollment goals. Works closely with the Dean of Academic Success to achieve retention goals.

  • Uses financial aid to maximize net tuition revenue.

  • Works in concert with the Director of Marketing and Communication to assure integrated communications that will attract interest from prospective students who will resonate with Lourdes University.

  • Oversees the Enrollment Management budget.

  • Engages in an analytical, empirical, data-driven approach to decision-making and facilitate a culture of evidence in enrollment management and student success.

  • Works cooperatively with Institutional Advancement to develop grant proposals and seek external funding for initiatives that support student recruitment, learning and success.

  • Chairs the Enrollment Committee of the Board and the Enrollment Management Committee of the University. 

  • Serve as a member of the President's Cabinet and participates in planning and decision-making for the University.

 

Qualifications: A Master’s degree from a regionally accredited institution in higher education administration or related area. Doctorate preferred.  Five (5) or more years of progressively responsible leadership experience in higher education.  Experience with best practices in recruitment, financial aid, and student success is very important.

  • Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills with a collaborative style of leadership.

  • Proven record for effectively leading a staff including overseeing of hiring, training, staff development, performance appraisals, corrective action, work flow management, and staff recognition.

  • Strong project management skills.

  • Experience with budget management.

  • Demonstrated understanding of the needs of adult learners, economically challenged and first generation students.

  • A commitment to enhancing student retention and outcomes.

  • Short and long term enrollment and tuition revenue goal management.

  • Familiarity with predictive modeling and financial aid leveraging.

  • Must be analytical, data-informed and results-oriented. 

  • Must understand the applications of technology.

  • Knowledge of federal, state, and institutional financial aid programs.

  • Effectiveness in reviewing, interpreting, and applying University policies and procedures in enrollment.
