and Dean of the Faculty
Elmhurst College (www.elmhurst.edu), a private college in suburban Chicago with a strong liberal arts tradition and a commitment to professional preparation, is accepting applications for the position of Vice President for Academic Affairs and Dean of Faculty (VPAA/DOF). Reporting to the President, Dr. Troy VanAken, the VPAA/DOF serves as the chief academic officer and the primary faculty advocate who is responsible for all academic programs, personnel, and policies at the College. The VPAA/DOF will be joining the campus at an exciting time, as it prepares to become Elmhurst University in June 2020.
The successful candidate must possess an earned doctorate, faculty rank, teaching and administrative experience. In addition, the candidate must possess a broad knowledge of the complex nature of higher education, accreditation standards and processes, academic legal policies and procedures, and budgetary management. The candidate must value diversity and inclusion demonstrated through a record of collaborative leadership of colleagues and students from diverse academic, personal, and cultural backgrounds.
