The Ivester College of Health Sciences and Mary Inez Grindle School of Nursing at Brenau University announce the search for an energetic leader to serve as Director of the School of Nursing. Brenau University is a private, liberal arts institution enrolling 1,754 undergraduate and 1,088 graduate students within its four colleges: College of Business & Communication, College of Education, College of Fine Arts & Humanities, and the Ivester College of Health Sciences. Brenau Women’s College remains the cornerstone of the university, with a unique single-gender undergraduate experience. 

The mission of the Mary Inez Grindle School of Nursing is to improve the quality of patient care through inter-professional collaboration and evidence-based research. The academic and nursing leader for this key strategic role will complement and extend the School of Nursing’s excellence in teaching, service, and scholarship. Reporting to the Dean of the Ivester College of Health Sciences and to the Provost of the University, the Director will establish, orchestrate, implement, and monitor all phases of administration on behalf of the School of Nursing. The Director provides leadership for the graduate and undergraduate programs in nursing, fostering an organizational culture that supports caring, collegiality, and professional development.

Ph.D. in Nursing preferred; an MSN, BSN, RN and eligible for Georgia licensure; at least 5 years teaching experience and 3 years administrative experience; a record of successful clinical practice; experience in strategic planning, academic program assessment, CCNE or NLNAC accreditation, shared governance, clinic development and oversight, grant development, community outreach, and teaching experience in an accredited nursing or health related program is desired.
